• Instrumental in advocating the merger of mining lease renewals and the extension of lease periods to
50 years by Ministry of Mines, Government of India.
• Actively contributed to the drafting and refinement of more than 14 amendments in the MMDR Act, 2015
passed by the Parliament leading to the transformative reforms for the Mining Industry.

Policy and Regulatory Contributions
• Played a key role in formulating the State Mineral Auction Strategy (2018).
• Contributed to extending of the lease period for minor minerals up to 2040.
• Actively participated in the development of State Mineral Policy, regulatory frameworks, and governance
mechanisms.
• Catalyzed the formation of District Environment Impact Assessment Authorities (DEIAA), facilitating the
grant of approximately 25,000 environmental clearances for small mines, widely regarded as a landmark achievement.
• Sought-after speaker at national and state-level conferences, seminars, and policy forums on Mining Policy,
Mineral Governance, and sustainable development of mineral resources.
